DSI Offers FleetCross Module, Making Cross-referencing Parts Easy
DSI Solutions has become the first heavy duty vehicle dealership software provider to integrate the part-search system FleetCross into its program. This will enhance productivity and customer service for dealerships by saving time in searching for appropriate parts for any make of vehicle.
FleetCross, which is provided by Motor Information Systems, allows parts managers to search hundreds of millions of parts to match a need. “With the integration, staff will be able to search with FleetCross right within the DSI system,” says Vic Watson, co-CEO of DSI Solutions. This allows the parts team to work more quickly and better serve customers.
With FleetCross, the employee simply enters the part number needed for a vehicle. The system automatically cross references that part with identical parts and indicates how many are in stock.
In addition, FleetCross offers labor time guides for all makes and models. Not only does the system indicate the number of standard hours needed to complete the work, it also fills in the detailed information on the repair order.
DSI offers the FleetCross module for the same price as it would cost separately. However, since FleetCross is integrated into DSI, staff productivity is increased because employees do not have to leave the DSI system to look up information in FleetCross.
