Latest Software Release Includes 200 New Enhancements

At DSI Solutions, we pride ourselves on listening to clients about how our software can be improved to make dealerships run more efficiently. We are pleased to announce that we have just completed more than 200+ new features and enhancements to our Classic and Pro software.

To take advantage of these upgrades, clients need to be on Linux. Dealerships that are still using Microsoft Windows Server 2003 should be aware that Microsoft is no longer providing security patches to protect from viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

Or take a look at DataBridge, our new, browser-based software, which offers many new features. DataBridge is a free upgrade for existing DSI customers.

Here are some of the key components of the new 5.0.9 release:

Accounting

• We have improved the capability to handle inter-branch & inter-company accounting transactions. Multiple company, multiple branch, inter-company and/or branch transactions will automatically post the inter-company and/or branch receivable and payable. The entry just has to be to the appropriate debit and credit account and the inter-company and/or inter-branch receivable and payable will automatically be posted for you.
• Cleared checks can now be uploaded from your bank into the bank reconciliation program.

Parts

• Enhanced search capability. Parts employees can now conduct a point of sale parts search using a character string within the part number.
• Front counter parts sales by salesperson and calculates commission reports.

Service

• Service employees can now “lock” Repair Order conditions, including parts and labor. As well, locking can prevent additions to “closed” conditions.
• Technician productivity is improved through the new capability to set up multiple internal shop RO’s, which are accessible from the technician time clock.
• Electronic warranty download for Detroit Diesel.

Lease and Rental

• Lease and Rental invoices can now be set up for automatic emailing.
